Ricardo Rodolfo Rolando "Rocky" G. Sunico, Jr. (Blogger ID 2007-00048) is a 25 year old queer geek living in Pasay City and working out of Makati City as a Product Training Manager for a multi-national call center. He is openly homosexual and is happily committed in a long-term relationship of over six years.

He's an old school HTML-coder who has been online since 1995 and formally got into blogging back in 2003 on LiveJournal. He eventually moved on to other projects and now maintains a total of three primary sites - Beyond Dinobot Island, Moonbase 8 and his main pride and joy these days, The Geeky Guide to Nearly Everything.

[edit] Blogging History

Rocky officially started blogging on October 27, 2003 with the creation of Beyond Dinobot Island as hosted on LiveJournal while it was still invite-only, a requirement that would change soon enough within the next few months. It was originally meant as a personal blog and an avenue for him to process his thoughts and feelings for the day since he has always resorted to writing as a form of stress relief. In time, his blogging activities continued to expand and his blog started to discuss more and more topics of interest including technology and political news and reviews for books and movies.

Eventually, he created an account with Multiply initially as a photo-storage facility and eventually a place to post his reviews as separate from his personal blog entries. This helped reduce the length of his personal blog entries on LiveJournal while at the same time helping attract interest for his review content. This eventually landed him a brief stint as a contributing writer for the GLBT social networking site Fabuloush. Rocky continues to cross-post all of his LiveJournal entries to Multiply as a sort of back-up system in case the worst happens.

Finally on September 1, 2006, Rocky created The Geeky Guide to Nearly Everything, initially as an experiment with the changes made to the Blogger platform given their integration with the Google Accounts system. In time, this soon became a permanent blog for news, reviews and other interesting content which used to appear on his personal blog. He has also invited other bloggers to contibute to the site and now the Geeky Guide is supported by 5 other bloggers who contribue from time to time. Recently Rocky started experimenting with podcasting via MyPodcast.com and these GeekyCasts remain as integrated content for The Geeky Guide to Nearly Everything and not yet a standalone blog.

The Geeky Guide has a loose partnership with Pinoy Gay Blogs such that all blog feature reviews for PGB are created under the Geeky Guide banner. Rocky also contributes to United SEA, a regional blog for ASEAN countries and Experience the VXI Difference, a job posting blog for the company that he works for and remains open to other cross-posting opportunities.

Rocky continues to maintain all three sites given their different functions and purposes and does not see himself stopping anytime soon.
